The remodelling of the operating rooms and birthing rooms of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Institut Dexeus wants to respond, jointly, to the adaptation of the service with the incorporation of the necessary measures for fire protection, while at the same time proposing the modernisation, improvement and reorganisation of its spaces.
These interventions consist of the creation of an independent hall and evacuation routes to the outside that guarantee the correct protection and evacuation of the floor in the event of an emergency.
The rest of the area contains the programme of planned uses.
This programme involves the creation of three birthing rooms with toilets incorporated into each of them, together with a motorisation room (CTG). A surgical area consisting of two operating rooms of different sizes and a pre-anaesthesia room, all part of a closed unit, is relocated. The space for doctors and nurses to relax is located before the lift access to the medical office on the upper floor. The office of the service supervisor and the staff changing rooms are located next to the access area. Finally, the service is provided with cleaning areas, general storage and space for waste and leftovers.
The emergency service is located with an independent access.
